MARKET 2011 will take place February 18–20121
Besides the main fair MARKET also includes:
MARKET Emerging - a section for newly
established galleries, where we put the young and expansive Nordic
art scene in the spotlight.
MARKET Editions & Multiples is geared towards
galleries working with high quality editions and multiples.
MARKET At Large gives the possibility for participating
galleries to display art work that may be difficult to show in a
regular stand, such as art projects, sculptures and installations.
MARKET is proud of its partnership with the Royal Swedish Academy
of Fine Arts. The choice of location, a former 18th century palace
in central Stockholm, gives the art fair its unique character.

MARKET took place for the first time in February 2006 at the initiative
of a group of gallerists looking to create a high quality fair in
central Stockholm. In 2007 the organisation of the fair was taken
over by Konstmässan Market i Stockholm AB.The fair puts Swedish
and Nordic galleries in the spotlight and participants show a wide
selection of the most exciting international contemporary art. The
presence of galleries based outside of Sweden has increased every
year and the fair has been very well received by collectors, visitors
and press.
For over 270 years the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts has promoted
the role of art and architecture in Swedish society. Through its
cooperation with the Academy, MARKET anchors the forward looking
art scene in a rich artistic tradition. MARKET strives to be the
best possible meeting place for galleries and the art-interested
public. The fair’s vision is to be the Nordic art scene’s
premier fair.
The selection is carried out by the Selection Committee based on
the focus and character of the fair. Please contact fair management
with any questions concerning MARKET or the selection procedure.info@market-art.se.
